Medical Guidelines

As is the case with various healing modalities and entheogens, there are potential risks that can occur while working with our sacrament.  Some pharmaceutical medications can dramatically affect your experience in an adverse and potentially dangerous way.

If you are taking medications, such as SSRIs or SNRIs, these must be disclosed before attending a ceremony.  We are trained to identify and mitigate any potential dangers and we may require consulting with your mental health provider before permitting you to partake in our sacrament.

We strongly encourage anyone facing trauma recovery or mental health issues to get clearance from an accredited therapist, psychiatrist, or psychologist before scheduling a ceremony.

Our intake form is designed for your safety, and it is incredibly important that you are 100% honest when disclosing medical information regarding participation in a ceremony at Firefly Sanctuary.

Ceremonial participation is done at the individual’s own acknowledgement and sole responsibility of all potential risks.

Please contact us with any questions about our medical guidelines.

** DO NOT STOP TAKING ANY PHARMACEUTICAL MEDICATIONS WITHOUT FIRST CONSULTING YOUR DOCTOR. THIS SHOULD BE DONE UNDER STRICT MEDICAL SUPERVISION **
